As individuals we are full of contrasts. But I have learned that nothing is either black or white, there is a full shading in between in which we fluctuate. We are surrounded by stereotypes and catalogued into groups and boxes. The truth is that it is impossible to singly define a person by a word, a style or an action… We are all compilation of choices, dreams, fears, sorrows, tastes thrown together in order to create a single being.

We have been taught since we are young who we need to be and how to behave accordingly. I have learned that no one will ever know who he/she is supposed to be because we are not supposed to be anything but happy. You have to stop comparing yourself to other people and labelling yourself and others. Stop looking for heroes outside yourself and work everyday to be your own hero. Try solving everyday the amazing riddle you are yourself. Embrace and shape your gifts and flaws, be comfortable on your own skin. Light your own fire and let it shine through others… Free yourself from everything you know and have been taught and dive into the wonders of life knowing you are special, there is no one out there like you, you are an INDIVIDUAL.

Como seres humanos estamos hechos de contrastes. Pero he aprendido que nada es blanco o negro, hay una vasta tonalidad de grises en medio dentro de la que estamos fluyendo constantemente. Estamos rodeados de estereotipos y somos catalogados y agrupados en cajas. La verdad es que es imposible definir a una persona con una sola palabra, por su estilo o por una acción… Somos una compilación de elecciones, sueños, miedos, tristezas y gustos mezclados para crear un ser individual.

Desde que nacemos nos dicen la persona que debemos de ser y como comportarnos de acuerdo al rol que desempeñamos. Pero honestamente nadie nunca va a saber quien debe de ser porque no tenemos que ser otra cosa más que felices. En el momento que dejas de compararte con las demás personas, de etiquetar y de buscar héroes en otros lados en vez de ser tu propio héroe es cuando empiezas a tener una probada de genuina felicidad. Usa toda tu energía para resolver el misterio de quien eres tu mismo, para explotar tus defectos y talentos y estar cómodo en ti mismo. Prende tu propio fuego interno y deja que brille hacia lo demás… Libérate de todo lo que sabes, lo que te han dicho y brinca sin mirar abajo hacia la inmensidad que es la vida sabiendo que eres especial y que no hay nadie más como tu. Eres un INDIVIDUO.
