Clutch: Skinny Dip

I discovered reading at a very young age and I have been devouring books ever since… I am a great over thinker and for me reading is the only way I can completely silence my thoughts. Sinking in a book, forgetting everything else and living through the characters is one of the greatest pleasures I have found in life. Even though this is a fashion blog I thought it would be a good idea to share this part of me and do posts talking about the books I have read lately. I hope you like it and find it useful wether you are an avid reader like me or just would like to take on a good book.

Descubrí la lectura desde muy chica y desde ese momento he estado devorando libros.  Pienso de más todo y cuándo leo es de los pocos momentos cuándo puedo silenciar mis pensamientos. Hundirte totalmente en un libro, olvidarte de todo y vivir a través de los personajes es una de los placeres más grandes que yo he encontrado en la vida. Aunque este es un blog de moda se me hizo buena idea compartir esta parte mía y hacer posts de vez en cuándo con los libros que vaya leyendo. Espero que les gusta y sirva ya sean fanáticos de la lectura cómo yo o simplemente quieran leer un buen libro.

Villa Incognito- Tom Robbins

Tom Robbins is one of my favourite authors of all times. He has an amazing way of talking about philosophy, society, politics and life itself. He does it in such a unique and comic way. His books are a mix of bizarre characters thrown together and unexpected situations; it is full of laughs, surprises and personal philosophical experiences. What I love most about Robbins is his way of phrasing, reading his books is a real pleasure. Villa Incognito is my favourite one of his so far and I am sure I will end up reading it again further on.

Tom Robbins es uno de mis escritores favoritos. Tiene una manera muy especial para hablar de temas filosóficos, la sociedad, política y la vida. Lo hace de una manera muy única y de alguna manera cómica. Sus libros son un mix de personajes y situaciones bizarras; están llenos de risas, sorpresas y momentos de "iluminación" personales. Lo que más me gusta de este autor es su manera de redactar, leer sus libros es un verdadero placer. Son de esos libros que te sacan sonrisas. Villa Incognito es mi favorito de el hasta el momento y estoy segura que en algún futuro lo volveré leer.

Fools- Joan Silber

This book is composed of short stories that somehow are related to each other. It is a journey through personal integrity and small choices that affect our lives on a bigger scale. It is a deep meaningful book but at the same time it is not heavy to read. I was so engaged by it I started it on the plane from New York to London and finished it before I landed.

Este libro esta compuesto de pequeñas historias relacionadas de alguna manera. Es un viaje por el descubrimiento de la integridad personal y el impacto que las pequeñas decisiones tienen en el desenlace de nuestras vidas. Es un libro profundo y con mucho significado pero al mismo tiempo no es pesado de leer. Me pique tanto con el que lo empecé en el vuelo de NY a Londres y lo había terminado antes de aterrizar.
