FROM MOTHER TO DAUGHTER

There is no little girl in this world that hasn't played dress up in her mother's closet. When I was a child I used to spend hours adventuring into my mother's closet (I've had been in love with fashion since I can remember) and digging out pieces of clothing that seemed like a dream to me. I would try them on, put on some lipstick and dream of the woman I wanted to be someday. I felt like my mother when she dressed up for events, when actually I looked like a little dwarf with a huge piece of fabric tied on. 

Even though I don't play dress up anymore, I still find hidden treasures in my mom's closet. Timeless pieces that make me dream again. I recently found this Moschino jacket that I used to drool on every time my mom wore it. She passed it on to me saying that now I would give it better use than her. I had to to a post about it, not only to remember my childhood but also do honor to the amazing pieces of clothing (like this one) that go from mother to daughter and maybe so on and create an imaginable unique bond. 

No hay niña chiquita que no haya jugado alguna vez en el closet de su mamá. Cuándo yo era chica pasaba horas "aventurándome" en el closet de la mía (desde que tengo memoria he estado enamorada de la moda) y rescatando tesoros escondidos que eran como un sueño para mi. Me los probaba, me pintaba toda y soñaba con la mujer con la que algún día me gustaría ser. Me sentía como mi mamá cuando se arreglaba para algún evento, pero en verdad me veía ridícula.

Aunque ya no juego a arreglarme, sigo encontrando tesoros en el closet de mi mamá. Piezas atemporales que me recuerdan por que amo tanto la moda. Como este saco de Moschino con el cual se me caía la baba cada vez que mi mamá se lo ponía. Me lo regaló diciendo que ahora yo le daré mejor uso que ella. Tenía que hacer un post sobre el, no solo para recordar mi infancia pero también para hacerle honor a las piezas de ropa (como esta) que pasan de madre a hija y a lo mejor de ahí en adelante creando una complicidad y un recuerdo para siempre.

MUSEUM MORNING WITH TOUS

I recently had a shoot with Tous. It was a pleasure working with this brand as always. Their new lines keep surprising me. Talk about a brand that just keeps reinventing itself. It was a a great, fun morning. The shoot was in the terrace of the Amparo Museum in Puebla which has a breathtaking view. I wanted to keep all of their pieces. For this outfit I went with color blocking with Summer colors, perfect for this season and climate. 

Tuve una sesión de fotos recientemente con Tous. Como siempre fue un placer trabajar con el equipo de Tous. Sus líneas nuevas me siguen sorprendiendo, es una marca que se sigue reinventando temporada tras temporada. Fue una mañana muy a gusto y divertida. La sesión fue en la terraza del Museo Amparo en Puebla, tiene una vista de locura. Me quería quedar con todas las piezas que me prestaron para estas fotos. En este outfit opte por un color blocking con colores de Verano, perfectos para la temporada y el clima actual.

GET YOUR FUR ON

Today the weather in London was very nice, even though it was a little bit cold. I used the little feathery jacket because a coat was too much. I kept most of the outfit simple and just gave it a fun factor with the jacket. The zara booties are really comfortable to walk with, something that I did a lot today.

Hoy aunque hizo un poco de frio el Londres el clima estuvo delicioso. Use el saquito de plumitas porque un abrigo era demasiado. Mantuve el outfit sencillo y solo le agregue una pieza divertida la cual es el saquito. Las botitas de Zara están muy cómodas para caminar lo cual hice mucho hoy.

Pant suit fun

I´m loving the new pant suit trend so I decided to have some fun with it. I wanted to do my everyday interpetation of this trend, a more casual one. Color blocking the top pumped up the classic "boring" pants. Then I threw in the print shoes and the snake statement necklace that I had been dying to use  to give it a surprise factor. I think the bag is what pulls the whole outfit together.

Estoy enamorada del regreso del look de “traje sastre” entonces decidí divertirme un poco con esta moda. Quería hacer mi propia interpretación de este look, una más casual que se pueda usar cualquier día. Al hacer un color blocking arriba le di vida a los típicos pantalones negros “aburridos”. Le agregue los tacones de print y el cuello con la víbora que me moría por usar. En mi opinión la bolsa es lo que le da sentido a todas las piezas en conjunto.
